Rebecca Bauer-Kahan Receives EMILY’s List Endorsement

Orinda, CA — Rebecca Bauer-Kahan announced today that she has received the endorsement of EMILY’s List for her campaign for the Assembly in the 16th District. The endorsement comes just days after the California Democratic Party officially endorsed Bauer-Kahan, building on the campaign’s strong momentum.

EMILY’s List cited Bauer-Kahan’s leadership in the community, her strong campaign and her position as the only truly pro-choice woman in the race as reasons for the endorsement. The endorsement provides access to key financial and grassroots support.

“Rebecca Bauer-Kahan is an accomplished attorney with deep ties to her community who has fought to improve local schools, protect our environment and keep the children of California safe," said Geri Prado, senior director of state and local campaigns at EMILY's List. “EMILY’s List is proud to endorse Rebecca for California state Assembly, and we look forward to her leadership in the legislature.”

EMILY’s List is the nation’s largest resource for women in politics and has raised over $500 million to support pro-choice Democratic women candidates – making them one of the most successful political organizations ever.

In addition to EMILY’s List and the official endorsement of the Democratic party, Bauer-Kahan has already amassed an impressive list of endorsements including State Board of Equalization Member Fiona Ma, former Assemblymember Joan Buchanan and several local elected officials and school board members.

Bauer-Kahan is an accomplished attorney, environmental advocate, community volunteer, law professor and mother. A Bay Area native, she has dedicated herself to improving our community, solving complex problems, protecting civil rights and fighting to ensure everyone has the opportunity to succeed.

The 16th Assembly District includes parts of Contra Costa and Alameda Counties, including the cities and towns of Dublin, Lafayette, Livermore, Orinda, Pleasanton, San Ramon, Walnut Creek, Danville and Moraga.
